RXF34 m.2(120mm) Fork/TTX1 Air Shock Package
Fitment for U00400-01
With the introduction of Öhlins MTB suspension packages, the new RXF34 m.2 fork and TTX1Air shock are now combined for a high performing, matched set for popular short travel trail bike applications. Packages eliminate the guesswork of determining correct specifications and includes all parts necessary for a straightforward installation.
The RXF34 m.2 Short Travel Fork
Designed for riders who cover lots of ground - FAST. The new fork replaces the original RXF34, and offers a short-travel 120-130mm setup optimized for lightweight 29er trail bikes. Weighing in at just 1698g, the fork can boast of a brand new air spring and damper adapted for the demands of the emerging “downcountry” riding style, while still carrying all the hallmarks of Öhlins’ race-proven performance suspension seen from its long-travel, single-crown cousins - the RXF36 m.2 & RXF38 m.2.
The RXF34 m.2 uses the newly designed OTX18 damper. Sprung out of the highly successful TTX18 found in the Öhlins downhill and trail forks, the OTX18 is purpose-built for lightweight trail bikes. It shares several key components with its bigger TTX18 brother, but weighs 27% less and is optimized for faster and more fluid trail riding, striking the optimal balance between traction, control, weight and stiffness. Like all Öhlins dampers, the OTX18 offers impressive adjustability for fine-tuning, with fifteen clicks of low-speed compression and rebound adjustment alongside three for tweaks to high-speed compression. As always, a large and extensively tested setting bank is also available for those who wish to customize their ride feel even further.
The TTX1Air Shock
A high performance, robust air-sprung shock; the TTX1Air offers the same performance as our TTX2Air but in a more compact single can package; for bikes with a more linear shock curve with less need for bigger air volume. The TTX1Air also features a new slimmer fit end-eye design to fit more frame designs. The TTX1Air’s compact design weighs approximately 60 grams less than the TTX2Air. A specific wiper seal and air sleeve lubrication reduces friction and delivers consistent performance between service intervals.
The TTX1Air combines the superior damping function of the TTX system together with a new air spring design; delivering both improved performance as well as strength. Öhlins brought the TTX concept into the MTB market and the technology set a new standard in damping function. TTX-technology adjusts the pressure area on the shims instead of increasing preload, allowing more damping adjustment for added control; without resulting in an unwanted harsh ride feel.
The TTX1Air improves on an already proven package in terms of damping performance and making personalized tuning simple. The metric system design has also allowed an increased bushing overlap, delivering a robust design with improved side load management. A versatile and ideal choice from more linear trail bike applications, especially for riders who are looking for a lighter or slimmer shock and also seek the possibility to tune it to their bike and riding style. To keep a high level of suspension performance it is important to follow the service intervals. The 100-hour air spring service can be performed by following our workshop manual and instruction video or using an Öhlins authorized service enter. Hardware is included with the shock for your specific application.
